I think it's important to pay attention to both ends of the spectrum. The stress from constantly dealing with vital matters can take it's toll and eventually result in counter productivity. The soloutions to some of our biggest practical problems can grow from insights derived from paying great attention to and observing the microcosm of unrelated systems or the indulgence of games and recreation. There is obviously far more to be known along those tributaries than anyone can hope to decipher; nonetheless, exploring them is not wasted time or effort.
