when they click on delete all it does is mark it for deletion
U must then in your nightly maintence put a batch file with the following
commands and this willl delete the mail that is marked for deletion

example
@echo off
cd\va\
vcleandb /Quiet
this will delete all the email marked to delete and it wont stay on the system
