Yes, I like XFCE, never cared for Gnome or KDE. I liked FXWM. But I
mainly used Blackbox or Window Maker - way back when I mostly ran
linux. I would have ran Enlightenment, but it was buggy and most of my
machines could not handle it.

You are correct there, that is one of the reasons I haven't messed with
it yet, because I don't know what is the version I should use. 

What do you recommend?
