I have got some good news as of late. I have a co-worker/hacker type bringing happiness to the VADV land. He has decompiled VADV and PPPBBS and is working on a reg code generator. I had send him all the needed files so that he could create this for us. I haven't heard from him in a couple days, but with any luck we shall have something very soon. I'm not sure what VADV's node limit is truly, I have seen the docs suggesting 100 nodes, but also I've seen else where a limit of like 9,999 nodes (or somewhere near that). For those that are interested in playing around with PPPBBS, besides being able to be a dialup ISP server, it's also an e-mail server. I asked this co-worker/hacker person to see if it might be possible to make PPPBBS use winsock, and he thought it might be possible. And said he would work on that too. For right now, I'm just waiting to hear from him on the news of how this is going. But thought I'd through this out in the BBS world and get some feed-back from you guys. Anyway, hope to hear from you guys soon on this. Later... Sarpek |
