That's fine for man as a social being. But shouldn't it be balanced with the solitary individual's instinct toward self preservation and self importance? Whatever it is that man feels in communion with or pictures himself standing before in judgement (even if ONLY himself) there is still a sense of timeless being without regard to any real interctions with other entities, past present or future, save the one that might be in a position of power at the end of the life cycle. There are many reasons that can move a person toward moral behavior. I find that quite a satisfactory state of affairs where both our overall survival AND personal fulfillment are concerned. ��Carloman |
