Well, whoever originated it, it works great! (I took the Success through
Communication course.)

Scientology was not based on one single course. It was the next step after
Dianetics, a science, to Scientology, a religion (because it holds that a
being is spiritual in nature, not blinking out of existence at death but
instead being sent into a new body).
