he should just buy one.  they're not that expensive. i have a few rotting in my
basement  actually. i'm with spectrum and they dont block anything and you only
have to do passthrough if you use their voip+cable+internet device.

you should do a tutorial on it. i havent really heard of people really using qwk
for msg networking and not using synchronet.
