Geri Attricks (sp?) is having issues with his ISP possibly blocking the binkd port, and they are looking into it. In the meantime, that leave Shurato with dealing with the QWK hub instead, which is my system. The issue there is that (1) my feed for SFnet comes via ftn/binkd from the hub and (2) since his port is blocked I am not getting any mail either. The problem is being made worse because I currently cannot see my system logs. Debian 12 finally replaced rsyslog with its systemd-oriented replacement, and it is garbage. I am looking for assistance to this in the synchronet echo -- where does synchronet logging go if you turn off the 'syslog' option -- but so far am not getting much joy there. People who still have rsyslog distros understandably didn't understand the initial question.
