T> Yeah it's abeen a long time. I think honestly if I had the time to
T> setup a tosser other then built in ones, I'd go HPT and be done with
T> it. Has every possible feature. I'm just far too lazy and I have no
T> issues with postie.

I decided to try using squish for dos and see what happens. I had issues
with postie. Messages would disappear from Talisman after I ran it. At
least I thought it was postie.

I mentioned in the FSX support echo but haven't heard back yet. By
disappear, I mean that Talisman counts them but cannot list them and I
cannot read them.

With squish they also disappear, but in a slighly different manner. They
seem to "reappear" once I run squish out. I set up a local test area
between this board and that one so I would not flood any network test areas
with too much traffic.

That said, before I got to this happy medium, I had trouble in FSX Test
with the same disappear issue I had with postie if I received a message
from another BBS that wasn't running Synchronet or Magicka. They both came
when I received messages from someone running Mystic and another someone
running golded. Same two guys both times. Once their messages hit the
message base, no other locally posted messages show up, and squish will
stop finding the local messages too.

So I will be posting some new test messages in network test areas to see if
I get any incoming traffic from other nodes, then see which ones cause the
issue (or if maybe I have finally figured it out).

Mike
