What the movie was, essentially (IMHO), was a very pretty piece of surrealism. I'm not an art student, so I'm sure my use of the term probably couldn't hold up against serious criticism, but the word sums up my attitude toward it. I liked it, and I came away from watching it with an eerie, otherworldly impression of the place. I'd enjoy watching a few more programs based on the setting but I don't think it will ever happen. It seems that today if a science fiction show doesn't develop an instant and popular cult following, it's dropped within a season (Like Earth 2, something else I would have liked to see develop a little more before it was laid to rest).
