     That's not the rerelease.  That's just upgraded sound and color.
Haven't you heard the line they're using about the video tapes?   "The
Original, One Last Time".  Lucasfilm is rereleasing Star Wars in 1997 with
extended footage in the Cantina and in Mos Eisley, extra dogfight footage at
the end of the movie, ditigally remastering the soundtrack and adding the
legendary missing Jabba the Hutt scene after Greedo gets blasted in the
Cantina.  After this comes out, you won't be able to get the original (i.e.
the first VHS release or the new THX release) but only the Special Edition.
