A true high budget show uses both computer > graphics and models eg. voyager I agree, a blend of minuratures and computer imaging usually looks more real than either one solo. IE: _The Abyss_. Grafix fills in the holes left by stop motion, and computer motion controllers like Lucasfilm uses make the filming easier (multiple takes to get it perfect.) But grafix by themselves *usually*, but not always, look kinda, well, like VR, not reality. Rocinante |
