On 05 Oct 95 22:33:00 Mark Rooney said to Chris Mcdermott -> Hi Mark, CM> Nahhh... Jiu Jitsu. MR> What way is that ranked? Is it in dans? How do you think it compares MR> to Worf's defence class? It's in Ryu and Dan grades (Ryu meaning student and Dan meaning master Hmmm.... there's no comparison at all Actually I thought what Worf did was actually Tai Chi (or something very similar) - AFAIK its a type of martial art / yoga. :-| CM> I've been having a lot of trouble with Bart recently. MR> Yeah, me too. Sometimes it's takes ages to pickup and then when I'm MR> trying to download mail, it sometimes hangs. Most annoying. Yeah, same here. Pity, there are a lot of echoes on Bart that I can't find anywhere else CM> Happy Days ? As in the Fonz etc... ? MR> Yeah, why not? I mean, he did fight Mork from Orc. So it's not as if MR> there's no sci-fi link. Mork was cool. Nanoo nanoo. Err.. yeeesss... one of the more tenuous sci-fi links there Yeah, I liked Mork & Mindy but I never understood where the big baby came from. CM> Earth 2. I remember seeing previews for that... MR> Well it was on tuesday but I didn't watch it cos I've already seen the MR> pilot. But new episodes for me starting this tuesday. And on MR> wednesday there's Nowhere Man. I've still to watch the pilot from MR> last night. I've been told it's good, so I look for ward to watching MR> it. Probably see it over the weekend. Nowhere Man.... I think I heard something about that. Is it about a man who suddenly discovers that he no longer exists - at least in the sense that nobody seems to know who he is - i.e. his wife, friends, authorities etc. ? MR> Well, having Sky does help. The later seasons of Star Trek: TNG were MR> shown on Sky first, as were all the DS9's. The X-Files was first MR> shown on Sky and so was Space Precinct. So although you'll eventually MR> get Sky's sci-fi shows on terrestrial tv, you' ll have to wait a while. Space Precinct and DS9 were available on RTE several months ago altho they are only showing the first X-Files series now. It seems they have some things before BBC/ITV and some things a lot later. :-\ MR> Have you been watching DS9 on BBC2 on thursday? I've seen all of the MR> first three seasons and hopefully I'll see the fourth soon. But DS9 MR> is very good. Ok, now that it's on 2, you'll probably get all the MR> jokes again, like to boldly wait where no man h as waited before. gt; I've already seen some of DS9 tho not a lot. I've heard that Worf is supposed to be in the 4th series ? I'm usually out on Thursdays and I'm at Uni Halls during the week anyway so I don't have access to a video. My dad does tape X-files on BBC and RTE for me tho and Friends too cya Chris... Email : u9542361@qub.ac.uk ...
