Greets Mark,

CM> ...do you want to talk about anything sci-fi or fantasy related ? :)

MR> OK. What do you think of The X-Files, Star Trek, Babylon 5 & The
 MR> Outer Limits?

Hmmm.. tough one ;) I like the first three a lot and the last one, well it
depends each week.

MR> I'm a trekker, I've met Riker, LaForge and Lwaxana. The next
MR> convention that I know I'm going to is Visicon, in Dublin next July.
MR> Nana Visitor will be there, (Major Kira from DS9), and so will Robert
MR> Picardo, (the holographic Doctor from Voyager).

Phew! :) Where did you meet them then? What's a convention like, and are
they only for Star Trek or are other Sci-Fi related related subjects included?
Err... you don't dress up as a Klingon or summat, do you?
Haven't see much DS9 myself and no Vogager at all - is it any good ?
btw - Who is Lwaxana, I can't place the name ?

MR> Although since seeing The X-Files, I've become a really big fan of it.
MR> And I mean a big fan. I've been trying to get all the stuff I can
MR> about it, whether it's magazines, PC graphics, info files, etc.

Yep me too.. I prefer the X-files to Star Trek and the other Sci-Fi progs
as it is far more varied but still keeps up the same theme. I did pick up
a few jpgs of Gillian Anderson somewhere and there are quite a few more
knocking about the local boards - I think! I missed Monday night's episode
but I was able to tape it :) - Missed the Roswell Incident tho :(

MR> Babylon 5 I think is excellent and I look forward to the third season.
MR> The last episode of the second season was brilliant.

I actually prefer B5 to Trek but as far as I can see not many other people
share that view :'(

MR> The Outer Limits, has some excellent stories but they are all separate
MR> stories. Some are excellent, some are ok, but I like sci-fi series
MR> better than just one off stories, unless it's in a film.

Yeah, there have been some dire ones but good ones as well :) the best part
about them being separate stories is that if you miss one it won't mess up
your understanding of the rest - which happened to me in the last series of
B5 :(

Did you see The Thing last Saturday? Exellent (IMO anyway) - I would rate
it as one of my top films, although it was more horror than Sci-Fi.

CM> AHA! Local I see :) Does this echo actually go anywhere ?

MR> I'm sure it does go somewhere but maybe the places it reaches are not
MR> inhabited by intelligent life. And maybe I'm gonna get in trouble for
 MR> that last statement. 8-)))
 MR> Later Dude.

#;-) Everyone else I've seen on this echo so far seems to be using aliases
(apart from the two of us) - Maybe you're right ;)

MR> Press Enter to relieve your boredom.

Hmmm.... this doesn't seem to be working :) Maybe I'll watch some TV instead.
