It wasn't bad at all.  As usual there is an outside stimulus that
throws Kes into...for lack of a better term...into heat.  Her race
usuallu don't go into heat untill they are at least 5.  The only go
into heat once.  If she is to have children she has to mate with
50? hour window and the coupling lasts for several days.
She discusses her plight with Neelix who is uneasy about the whole
thing.  When Neelix decides he want's to have kids...Kes has changed
her mind and does not want to try to have kids now because she is
too young.  The "Doc" thinks since she did not go through the entire
"In Heat" process that it will happen again at the right biological
time for Kes.

The whole thing takes place while the Capt. is faced with the question
the crew forming relationships...and children with each other.  After all
If they don't get home,  they will need replacement crew as soon as 30 years
from now...

The whole question becomes moot when a crew member informs the Capt.
She (The Crew member) is pregnant.
