MB#@>With the new season quickly approaching, I was wondering if anyone had any
MB#@>thing interesting to say about it? Maybe, something you DON'T want to see
MB#@> [ Here is what I think ]

MB#@>Since radio waves travel at the speed of light through the same medium, an
MB#@>they are only 70 lt yrs away, they should be able to get some old
MB#@>transmissions from 70 years ago, assuming they used any radio at all. I
MB#@>don't think it would make an episode, but it would be interesting if they
MB#@>mentioned it.

Actial they are 70,000 lys from earth (give or take a account 100).
At maxium substainable warp they can travel at 1,000c (1,000x light
speed); thus, it would take them 70 years at max speed to return to
    earth.

A radio wave from earth would have to be 70,000 years old to be
detected by Voyager- something that would be every unlikely.

    As for the're currewnt position. they are not moving at max warp;
even if the ship had the fuel, and resorses to do that, Capt Janeway
in the permire declare that a 70 year journey to return home was
unexatable. They are currently looking for some form of shortcut to
get home, wormwhole, alien technology, ect. They proaby have only
travel accouple 100 lys from their startpoint.

MB#@> I also think it would be cool if they came across a race that happened t
MB#@>run towards the Delta Quadrant from the Borg. I mean they're always
MB#@>mentioning races assimilated by the Borg with a few refugees. What if som
MB#@>ran from the Borg a LONG time ago, and their descendants eventually settle
MB#@>in the Delta. It would kinda give them a commonality with some people the

This would be interesting; but, it would imply the Borg are on their
heels (the refugees). Ironicaly the "lost" humans of the season
permire have much the same effect on the crew. Personly, I beleive
the logic course of action would be to use the planet they are on as
a base point, and sweep out a search pattern with this "base" at the
    center.

MB#@> I don't want to see any Q. TNG did a good job with it, but enough's eno
MB#@> BTW, there's a new book telling that Trelane from TOS was a Q. I haven'
MB#@>read it, but I thought of that a few years ago after watching the TOS epis
MB#@>with him in it. Interesting note: The person who did the voice for
MB#@>Trelane's father at the end of the episode was the same actor who plays
MB#@>Scotty, James Doohan.

Becareful what you wish for; it may come true....Indeed, this is an
episode waiting to happen; ofcourse they may be saving it for the
     finially <g>.
