It is a whole universe that started out loosely based on Star Trek. (at first
anyway) They use the old Fed, Klingon, Romulan, Gorn and Tholian races in a
tactical game of starship combat. The game is a blast but can be VERY
intense. They have since expanded the system by adding several races that
didn't exist in the old Trek universe, as well as expand part of the game
into an RPG called Prime Team which makes you part of the landing party. It is
also a great game.

The company is called Task Force Games and I do believe they are again making
minatures to play the game with.

Anyway, if you have a chance to play, go for it. There's nothing like
collapsing a shield with those overloaded photons and smoking some ol'
Klingon...
