--[ Begin Quote ]------------------------------------------- That is absolutely not true at all. Holodeck programs have exhibited all these things when we were aboard the Enterprise so you can't say that if you do believe that it is poor writing that it has not been a problem since TNG... that is, if I can not convince you in the next few lines. --[ End Quote (About time.) ]------------------------------- I have no problem with that statement. The holodeck always HAS been an example of very poor writing on Star Trek. It's definitely the silliest innovation for the TNG series. It's simply an outlook for writers who get tired of writing science fiction, and want to do a pulp detective story, or a fantasy, or Sherlock Holmes, or whatever. A better solution would have been to hire writers who never get tired of sci-fi. |
