-=> Quoting Summermoon #2 @1609011*1 to Bocephus #31 @1618014*1 <=- > > You like that movie? I thought the ending was pretty lame. > That wasn't me, but I'll answer anyways. Yeah I liked Generations. It was > much better than any of the TOS films. Kahn and Search for Spock not > included. S#@> I liked Generations as well....though, the whole saucer crash sequence S#@> was pretty lame graphics though. The ending could have been better, S#@> but it was still enough to whet your appetite for more movies. Not meaning to start an Origional Series vs. TPEOSTI war, but IMNSHO, the only reason that Generations could hold a candle to any of the Star Trek movies (five not withstanding) was that Kirk has a small cameo role. Next Generation has the edge in special effects and technlogy (money), but there was an interaction between the characters in TOS that is missing in TNG. I cried when Spock died. I cried when he came back. I cried when Jim died. I cried when Spock realized that VGER could not understand a simple touch. I can't imagine crying or even being touched at anything in TNG. The simple reason is that the characters in TOS became my friends, they were close to me. They came down off the screen and out of the TV and into my heart. Picard, well....I might have him over for dinner.... Steve BTW- TPEOSTI=That Pathetic Effort Of a Start Trek Imitation ... I came...I wrote...I offended. ___ Blue Wave/QWK v2.11 |
