Re: Re: God well i am enjoying all this "god " talk .. i am too an athiest ..i cannot understand any religion that believes in being greater or better than any body else .. the pope himself was origianilly the commander in charge of converting the " heathens " by force if need be and i have no faith in a bible iether .. i do believe that there was a book from a group of appostles if you want to call them that .. but as anyone knows if you tell a story to 3 different people you will get 3 different versions back ... and after it has gone through o hhh say 5 generations < approx 500 years> it is already pretty well changed .... then to add to this being translated to any number of languages each with there own twist on words and meanings ets.. it is a wonder the thing is even ledgible any more and then there is all the other religions . buhdism<SP> hinduism mormonisn menoniteisnetc etc etc all proclaiming that THEY are the true word of god well i say NUTS to em all all i believe in no afterlife .. no spirit when a cow gets sloughtered do people mourn its passing???? no .. becouse it has no real impact in our lives axcept as food we as humans use religion and words like afterlife i believe becouse we cannot stand being mortal that there HAS to be something after we die why ??? does there always have to be more when we die we are no more use than that cow getting sloughtered |
