Well... I already answered that question as best as I understand it.
Basically you are warping space. If you measure a piece of paper laying flat
on a table from corner to corner, you may come up with say 15cm. If you
'warp' it in half, and you measure the distance, you will get a fraction of a
mm... basically that is what they are doing to space. <Thats the theory in a
nutshell, as I understand it.> The very term is pretty self-explanitory...

The old Star Trek had one good thing going for it that the 'next-generation'
didn't... they were far more creative (They had to be... they were the first,
and had a small budget...) I think that the writers were better, the dialogue
was certainly better, and it showed an ideal that appeals to all people who
love the idea of humanity coming to terms with itself. The Next Generation
was about a bunch of stiff people in a society which I would fear. I think
that it wasn't all that bad, but it could have been a lot better.
