-=> Quoting Maestro #144 @1504003*1 to Captain K #260 @1504003*1 <=- M#@> HUNDREDS of jobs out there for anyone willing to work. Remember, ALL M#@> unemployment is ultimately by choice. Hope this helps. Go get 'em! Wrong answer, Maestro! Spent 18 months unemployed like this. Have 45 versions of a terrific resume to prove it. Worked my butt off at it. But I could not take one of those hundreds of jobs at minimum wage with less than full time hours and still support a family. So how did I finally get a job? I got several companies fax numbers and set up my computer to fax particular resumes to those companies overnight with my puter. That clicked. Also happened to be helping a secretary I know understand an engineering inspection report and was dictating a report to her. The guy that owned the company was standing behind me and I did not know it. He talked to me. After I had fixed a couple of problems with his new computer that he was getting frustrated with he saw I had talents elsewhere. Now I work for him at a nice price. It boils down to two things: The luck to be in the right place at the right time or just pure NEPOTISM. ... All I need is a Wave and a board to surf it on. ___ Blue Wave/QWK v2.12 |
