 TP#@> you COULD use the subst command to shorten it, like:

 TP#@> subst d: c:\windows
 TP#@> subst e: c:\files\text\july\inbox\priority

 TP#@> etc.

 TP#@> and then use path d:;e; etc.

If shorting directory names and using 'subst' dosn't meet your needs,
try 'ADDTOIT'.

From PC Computing:
This will allow you to add additional directories
to your path, beyond the 127-character limit imposed by DOS...

Syntax:
PATH C:\;C:\DOS;C:\WINDOWS...etc...
ADDTOIT C:\BATCH;C:\UTIL...etc...

Note that ADDTOIT cannot create a path, it only adds to an existing path.

 Save the script between the hash marks to an ASCII file.
 At the DOS prompt enter,  "DEBUG < filename"
 where "filename" is the name of the saved ASCII file.
