here's my problem folks ...

i need to do this : for x = 1 to 255
                     WRITE(val[x]);
where val[?] is an array of 1 to 255 with each sub == "\???" where the ??? IS
== the number of the sub .

like , val[1] = "\001"
       val[2] = "\002"
       .
       .
       .

i can do the first by doing : byte val[1] = "\001";

but after that i can't assign any other values to val[?] . any thought of how
to do this in c--/c programming ?
