Sencondly, I need to know could it be � possible to have an assembly program that can mark the TSR driver before load � and unload this driver without leaving this assembly program in memory? I � wonder how such program is done. So, I don't have to reboot my computer � everytime I load some of the TSR resident and decide to run program that � require alots of memory. I think it can be done. for example, a mouse � driver can load and unload itself without having problem with leaving an � empty space in the memory. Later... �����������������--�� And Mango Whispered Back... ������������������������������������������������������������--�� Well, the problem is that the mouse driver can unload ITSELF. And TSR's need to maintain about 16 bytes of memory (well, the PSP is 256 bytes, in cases 272 bytes, plus the memblock headers, so a grand total of 304 bytes) so that another TSR chains to the same interrupt that was loaded after them. If a program didn't chain to its interrupt, it could totally unload. The way to do it is to know what interrupts a TSR changed, and to see if those interrupts still point to that TSR's memory. If not, the TSR CANNOT be unloaded unless it can unload itself. |
