Last time, Sysop #1 @1909002*1 said this to All:

S#@> I have a question for all of you....
S#@> If this is the .BAT magice message area, I assume that it deals with
S#@> the creation of DOS batch files. So, if this is true, why are there
S#@> all these debug scripts posted here to create .COM files, and hardly
 S#@> any true batch files?

I allow them for a couple reasons:

#1: It is human nature to follow threads, even if they wave off course, and it
is far less informative in the long run if one were to chop off any information
on the wayside and simply say "This is off topic." Obviously off topic
postings are removed. Once which have some bearing, stay.

#2: Because of DOS's many limitations, COM files such as the ones being posted
here, are sometimes the only way to write an efficient batch file. Posting
them, therefore, comes under a broader heading of batch file capability.
