This program returns a random errorlevel in the range 1 to <n> where n is a number on the command line from 2 to 255. If this does not meet you needs, let me know you requirements. I have a Turbo Pascal program I wrote that is more flexible. ========================[ cut here ]======================== n RANDOM.COM e100 BE 81 0 B0 0 B7 A 8A 1C 46 80 FB D 74 10 80 EB "0r"F3 80 FB 9 77 e118 A F6 E7 2 C3 EB E8 3C 1 77 B B4 9 BA 5D 1 CD 21 B0 0 EB "+P"1E B8 e131 40 0 8E D8 A1 6C 0 1F 23 C0 75 1 40 B9 10 0 8B D8 83 E3 "-2"FB F8 e149 7A 1 F9 D1 D8 E2 F1 B4 0 5B F6 F3 8A C4 FE C0 B4 4C CD 21 D A e15F "RANDOM.COM v1 (c) Mitch Ames, 1992"D A e186 "May be copied freely, but not modified or sold."D A A e1B8 "Syntax is: RANDOM <n>"D A e1D0 "where <n> is in the range 2-255"D A A e1F2 "RANDOM returns a random errorlevel in the range 1 to <n>."D A e22D "$" rcx 12E w q ========================[ end of debug script ]======================== Save the script between the hash marks to an ASCII file.
