 CF#@> Hmm...  Just a guess here, but I would suspect that there is little or
 CF#@> no supervision over the serial port with just a 'COPY'.  You are more
 CF#@> than likely overflowing the serial buffer.  Cant think of a good
 CF#@> solution to this.

I've used a serial port printer, so I am familiar with the problem.

From MODE v5 help:

Configures system devices.
Serial port:       MODE COMm[:] [BAUD=b] [PARITY=p] [DATA=d] [STOP=s] [RETRY=r]

I'm not sure what 'RETRY' should be with v5. For v3.3 it was 'P' (for printer)
For example: MODE COM1: 9600 N 8 1 P

The P switch keeps the serial port from timing out while the printer
buffer is full.
