If it's over the limit in length, then you're stuck with it. I believe that
command.com limits it to 128 bytes or something. You could use 4DOS, that
would let your path be 511 bytes. But really, what you need to be doing is
some spring cleaning on your system to reduce your paths. The longer your
path statement, the slower your computer.
