-=> Quoting Lt1 #78 @1805002*1 to All <=- L#@> How do I get DOS 6.0 to install from B drive? Is there some trick L#@> I'm missing? Good question. I'm kinda lazy and never changed over drives. My A: drive is still a 5 1/4. But...I had no problem installing anything from B: (3 1/2). I've gone from MSDOS 5.0 to 6.0 to 6.2 to 6.22 to IBM PCDOS 7.0. If you blew out your previous version of DOS that was a mistake. All of these installed from the B: drive with no problem just by typing SETUP. If you really want to do it right, dig inside and switch around the ribbon cable going to the floppies. Take a look at that floppy ribbon cable and you'll notice a twist near the end. A: drive usually must be attached after the twist. Change your CMOS to the appropriate floppy parameters and go to town. ... If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence that you tried. ___ Blue Wave/QWK v2.12 |
