It's interesting when digital television came along that this market opened for
people who wanted to hear commercial-free uninterrupted music over their TV. I
guess enough people had good stereo systems already hooked up (this was
probably before surround sound) that they thought this would take off.  But has
it?

This will certainly be tested when on this Tuesday, DirecTV replaces their
Music Choice channels with XM Satellite Radio channels.  Most of their music
channels, and 2 of their exclusive talk channels will be on the line-up, and
I'm psyched to see what kind of exposure it gets this service that I've been a
subscriber to for almost 4 years now!

It will also allow me to TiVO my favorite talk program, Opie & Anthony from
High Voltage, which will be on DirecTV channel 879.  When you actually want a
break from the music of course. :-P

They're uncensored and HYSTERICAL.  I give you a week of listening before
you're hooked.
