I am using the Win95 Beta, and here's MY observations:

I am a so called "Power User" because I do 3-d rendering. etc. Win95 has
sped up graphics based programs, it can run protected mode programs without
shutting down, it hasmuch better multitasking (my spreadsheets actually
calculate instead of just sit there when minimized), and has excellent
network connectivity. Now, as for companies not being interested in it, over
half of the corporations I do work for have it ordered for it's release date.
What a magazine says (which is basically the opinion of the writer doing the
article) and what happens in the real world are two different things.

If you are getting Win95, here's my recommendations...

If you are going to have more than 3 apps open at once, get 16 megs, if not,
get 8.
Have at least a 486/25....no reason to have any less anyway.
DON'T buy bargin basement hardware (Zoltron sound card, Xerobix video...stuff
like that)...you'll have a hard time getting drivers that work for it.
