Yes, you can mix brands. I have a computer running a Maxtor/Conner mix, and one with a Maxtor/Seagate mix. No, position on the cables does not effect HARD DRIVE letters. No, generally position on the cable does not effect Master/Slave. JUMPER SETTINGS on each drive do. Don't know them? Find a manual for each, or pick up a Hard Drives International manual. (I don't know where to get one, we just have a few laying around...) --The Comic |
