Ok, I saw that Guitar Center has a special edition, ash body, Precision Bass Standard for sale at $447.00. The Standard Precision is made in Mexico and usually comes with a painted poplar body. The American Precision Bass is usually made of Alder or Ash and start at $800.00. Many people I know get the MIM (made in Mexico) bass and put a Quan Badass bridge on it and then it's usually up to par with the American bass which has better hardware. So.... next week when my mileage check comes in I will waltz down to Guitar Center and pick one up before the sale ends. The nice thing about Fenders is that you can always get your full value out of them if you have to sell them.
