From what I have heard up this way (on Microsoft's backporch), Windows 95 is
fully self contained, doesn't require DOS, and has minimum requirements to
see any real speed or benefit (486DX33 w/16MB RAM min). I also heard that
WIN95 users gan get hooked into Microsoft's Network automatically, much
like VNET in VBBS.

I doubt I will use it because I run a 386DX40 with 8 megs and 90% of my
software is DOS anyway. Can't see running out and buying a new system to
run WIN95 on.

However, I have heard 2 rumours that could be bad news. One is that once you
hook up to the Microsoft network, the Microsoft Techs will be able to do a
remote scan of your hard disk to se what's on it as well as check for pirated
or unauthorized software. THIS IS JUST A RUMOR AND I CANNOT CONFIRM IT.

If this is true, it would be like the cable company having the ability to
watch me as I watched TV or the post office being able to scan my mail for
what it contains! Just another intrusion into my private life if it is indeed
true.

Just what I know, please correct me if I am wrong.
