� Dunno about the IBM thang, but read from the article that Macs, having a
� great graphical interface can be useful to the Japanese with their alphabet
� (characters), while IBM isn't the hype over there at all.  Some are
� developing Mac software for the Japanese alphabet & so they're kinda

The thing with Japan is that there is no one major PC over there.  They are
kind of the way the US was 10-15 years ago.  We had Apple, IBM, Atari,
Commodore, TI, etc...  Apple and anything else that does a good job at the
Kana alphabet is doing fairly well.  So are all of the GUI os'es they have.
Unfortunately, no one OS is #1.  Maybe Macintosh can get some kind of a
standard going over there.  Who knows!?!
