As Rush is a rather odd Canadian band they don't get much air play in the
states and the songs that get played are not the best songs on the albums.
Genesis released thier first album in 1968 which was before Phil Collins
joined the band. Pink Floyd released thier first album in 68 also(I may be a
year off in that one). Pink Floyd did not exist as a band for almost ten
yearsz of the time you mention.
