Considering "Hush" is one of the few hits not written by the band, (as was
their second hit "Kentucky Woman";), they still put one hell of a spin on the
interpretation.

BTW......If you follow the members of the band from its inception, you will
find that they spawned a Sh**load of other acts. One of my all time
favorites is a band called "Captain Beyond" which featured Purple's original
lead singer, Rod Evans, and Lee Dorman, bassist from Iron Butterfly.

Look at Black Sabbath's offerings since Ozzy departed and you will see that
they owe their vocals ENTIRELY to Deep Purple alumni, (actually Ronnie James
Dio wasn't in Deep Purple but found his way to stardom via Richie Blackmore's
"Rainbow". Sabbath enlisted Ian Gillan for one album, (Born Again), and
then went to former Purple bassist, Glen Hughes, for their next offering.

Ian Paice is without a doubt the most aptly named drummer in the world.
