Re: I'm gonna kill someone! > Thats it, I'm pissed! I've been looking for Roger the Engineer, the first > release by the Yardbirds, for so long I've lost count. If anyone knows where > to get this, please tell me. > I've found so much damned Greatest Hits crap on the Yardbirds its making me > sick. I almost bought Greatest Hits, British Rock, Vol. 67... Come on don't get pissed! I may be able to help you here. According to my source-The All Music Guide (text version) The Yardbirds-Roger The Engineer IS available! According to the book it IS the BEST-sounding Cd available of Yardbird material. The label/catalog # is Edsel/116...this IS an Import so you might have to look still....Did you think about ordering it? According to my reference all the other Yardbird CDs are from 2nd generation tapes. EMI England won't license them due to an unpayed studio bill dating from the `60's...SILLY! BTW the masters for the Roger The Engineer CD are from the bands OWN original master. Sure hope this info helps you out! Don't hesitate to ask for more assistance if you need it...I'm here!!! <CRASH> |
