I've not seen any synchronization issues but the channels I frequent dont have thousands of users talking at once either. I'll join a massive channel and see how it reacts. > VSMTP32, I have set up, but I am not sure if I have it set up correctly or > what, I went by the setup instructions, but so far it has not tried connectin > to the mail server to send or receive mail. Basically you must setup UUCP just like you would for VISK. Using the Internet Configuration form in VSMTP32, enter your domain name as the system name, and enter a directory for the spool dir (like d:\va\inet\spool), set max received packet at 2048. Create a new remote system. The remote system name is your ISP's domain name. Enter the outgoing SMTP dir such as d:\va\inet\smtp (and NNTP dir if you want). Hit OK a few times to exit out. Then in VSMTP32 Configuration under the SMTP Client tab, make sure you have enabled the SMTP client. > And finally, I plan on setting up VADV-PHP after I get the other stuff workin > I have registered a domain for chris-co.org through iPowerWeb (10 GB of spac > with a lot of other goodies for less than $100 a year and no ads!). VADV-PHP requires that it have access to your BBS data files, which means it needs to be running on the same computer or network.
