Steve Winn | All | Resetting Stats Bug |

If you happen to experience the bug where your BBS statistics suddenly reset to zero, I am aware of it. I've been trying to figure out what has caused this for some time without much luck. Steven has tested and shown that it is not caused by VADV-PHP. I feel that it is caused by a combination of VADV32 and one of the network packet processing utilities (such as vfido). Maybe one of the utilities is locking the statvbbs.dat file at the same time VADV32 is trying to update idle minutes. I'm now testing a build of VADV32 that locks the file before accessing it to see if it causes problems. I may issue a build that has idle minutes disabled to see if it still occurs. Anyway I wanted to let you know that I am aware of this and I'm trying to find some solution. It is recommended that you have some sort of nightly backup in case this ever happens.
