It would be a good idea though. I think most just do their testing in the actual network hehe. I use Argus for packet mailing. I have it setup to monitor the \FIDO\OUT\000001 (fidonet) directory and automatically send the files to my host. For incoming packets, when I receive a packet from my host it moves them to my \FIDO\IN0 directory then runs a batch file that contains the "VFIDO.EXE 0 /R" command to process it. That's the basics of it though my batch file also performs other tasks for nodediffs, tics, etc. Is this sorta what you were looking for?
