This is to announce that VADV32 v2.0 is available for download! It has been a long time since any update has been made, and that has changed. I am now doing the development of VADV32 and will continue to do so until I cannot figure out what needs to be added or fixed. Version 2.0 has many changes from the v1.0alpha(?). The first thing you'll notice is the nifty Windows installer. No more manually copying files, registering files and making directories. Installation is painless, even on a default BBS configuration. Once installed, just run it! The code was stripped down to the bare minimum before I began adding features back. Some of the features you'll find are: Allows up to 99 concurrent telnet connections at once (depends on your VADV license on how many you'll actually get); a new WFC look to it: view your system statistics, drive information, etc; support for BBSFinder.com built-in - no need to run another utility to update your entry; VADV32 and VADV Configuration screens; automatic node configuration - one button press will automatically configure your BBS channels for use with VADV32; local login to node 0; view today's callers; view uptime; sysop feedback notification; minimize to the tray; perform daily events (no need for node 1 anymore!)... plus more! VADV32 is made for use with Windows NT, 2k, XP or 2k3. VADV32 supports Netfoss or mSyncFos as its fossil driver. mSyncFos says that it will run under Win9x, but I had no success getting it to work under Win98SE. If you get VADV32 and mSyncFos to run under Win9x, please let me know cause it should work. You can download it a http://vadv32.at2k.org. This site is going to change in the near future. If you have any suggestions or comments, post them here in this sub or email me at support@at2k.org! Steve -- [AT2k] -- Your VBBS/VADV Support Center -- [www.at2k.org] -- [bbs.at2k.org] |
