No, he was a great programmer.  TG was written in Pascal, C, and assembler. 
Tim had other priorities though.  I once called him at work which surprised
the hell out of him.  I asked about buying the TG code and he gave me a huge
line of bullshit about copyrights, this, that and the other -- anything he
could think of to try to get me off the phone.

What had really happened is that he lost the source code to TG and didn't
want to admit it, that's all.
