Ok this is great info. I think the cisco SPA112 is very similar to the cisco
SPA122. I saw on some video on youtube a couple years ago someone using the
SPA112 with their modems and it seemed to work. 

I got my SPA122 from a computer recycler and it was configured as a FAX modem
and I think it was for SEATAC airport. However I had to hack it to get the admin
login back to stock, and so I could reset the ATA. This because of the fax modem
setup this tells me a modem had to have answered the line. 

One thing I'm not sure of about the ATA .. having 2 lines active are they able
to actually talk to each other? I only have 1 phone handset so I can't test that
part. 


But your configuration gives me hope. Asterisk is a system that takes awhile to
figure out.
