In 2023, I was following a portion of old US 66 that goes through there.

There are things that cause similar issues for me that, if I find them
delicious, I also don't make a big effort to avoid.  Maybe to eat them
earlier in the day, but not to avoid them entirely. ;)

That would be annoying.  I wear a mouthpiece at night.  At first, I would
have a plastic taste in my mouth that lasted a while into the day.  Now, it
is usually gone before I am ready to eat anything.  Hopefully, you will
also have similar experiences.
