Well send him  your configuration info too.  and if he is still not working on
what the problem is, get another feed. Life is too short.

Furthermore, it's possible that you were working too fast. You should go and
check every part of your configuration.  I've never had this problem(and I ran
irex and probably other programs you are running) and haven't been connected to
a msg net for years, so can't help ya.
