back when i was with pookie we just ended going to buffets a lot
because i'd go some place else and my food would be shitty.  at a buffet i had a
choice.

we noticed that the same people would be there each time, like they ate there
every single day and hung out for a long time.

I saw this a lot at a chinese one.  a gang of guys with no jobs would just sit
there all day and talk and read books.  i don't know how they could allow it.
i guess these guys would be filler for when there were no regular customers.
