I do all my msg networking now via nntp with synchronet. It's really easy to do
and if you know a little javascript you can call external scripts on it.

It's easier than ftn (I've used irex, radius, and other softwares) and quicker
than qwk (setup wise).  I recommend giving it a try.

I'm portscanning this dude right now because i'm genuinely concerned.
Right now I am not getting anything on his ip. I scanned his bikP port and got
nothing.

We are living in shitty times so would be good if someone who knows him would
try to reach out to him.
