| Description | Having some inconsistent imports or not at all on certain RSS fields. Seems to more so on .rss pages verses .xml pages. The following rss links are at issue. http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/rss/local_2.rss http://www.komotv.com/news/local/index.rss | ||||

The second link (komotv.com) was working fine for me. It may have occasional problems that just aren't occurring right now. The first link (nwsource.com) is not working. It keeps giving a HTML error of 400 (bad request). I'm not sure why because it is basically the same as IE doing the request, which works. |

Seems the nwsource.com one worked today. The lomotv.com still not working since May 26 |

Updated build available for testing. This fixed the nwsource.com one for me which never worked before. Have you had any imports that looked like crap in the actual database? File: ftp://ftp.at2k.org/testversions/vrss.exe |

Trying the new version since yesterday afternoon. The komotv.com link still hasn't picked up yet. The http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/rss/local_2.rss link hasn't picked up since yesterday evening. I have not seen any bad imports in the actual databases that I remember. |

I have no issues with either site now. Can you view the rss pages in a browser? |

The seattlepi is working today. KOMOTV no. The KOMOTV one pulls in fine in IE6 in XML format. When doing a manual update, appears to be skipping the KOMOTV after the first time, after program is launched. That config entry is the 3rd of 4. It does have only a 7 character DB name, being the only other obvious difference between them all. |

After looking at it and trying it in a browser, I notice that the komotv one has a redirect to another domain: http://www.komonews.com/news/local/index.rss When I use that, it works. |

Switched the address and it works now. Will make a note to use the redirect link instead of the one provided one, in these cases. Thanks!! |

I would of thought that the original link would have been transparently redirected. I'll have to see what error code it gets with the orignal link. I typically open the rss feed in a browser and use whatever link it gives me. |

I've tried fixing this but the msxml object will not automatically get the redirected page and also will not return a status code (301) so I could manually redirect it. I may write my own http get function so I can control exactly what happens. This item will be closed. |
